Summer Madness

Hey everybody, Khel is back, and boy is he tired and frustrated! In the past month, I have tackled real life troubles, friendship issues, XI woes, and more! In addition, some of you probably felt I disappeared off Vana'diel given my sporadic posts, but that would only be half true. Truth be told, I have not been in the mood to write anything, and it is still too early to comment on my recent endeavors. Speaking of unfinished business, where is the Auction House (above)?!

In this picture, I failed to "Sleep" a Hilltroll Paladin four times in a row and was promptly beaten to a pulp. The first three resists were thanks to the PLD's "Resist Sleep" trait (because they have the "Resist!" tag) while the last was due to a resist based on my Enfeebling Skill. I suppose farming VT/IT mobs is dangerous enough as it is, but with a 10% drop rate for shields and a high tendency to resist "Sleep," I was struggling to keep alive, let alone collect items for Smithing.

I also managed to acquire a Furnace Tabarzin recently, and if you are wondering what the "Enchantment: Fire" effect does, it basically casts "Fire" on your foe. I suppose Enchantment weapons could prove useful if they did not have a ten minute recast or work on a charge-based system, but since they do, I will be tossing the Axe into my pile of letdowns lately.

Finally, I did manage to pick up something nice despite my recent woes. If you have never seen a 100-piece from Campaign before, here it is! I got lucky because there were only two other players in my Union, and I won the item with a lot as low as 687. Since I do not need San d'Orian currency in particular, I will either sell the coin to boost my Smithing funds or convert it to Bastokan currency for my Stage 4 Axe. That is all for now, folks!
